Catch up

I can't believe everything that has happened since my last post. First things first, we still have a bed bug problem, but it is diminishing. We had to take Jay's bed out of his room, but that seemed to do the trick. I am looking at bunk beds, but I don't know what we are going to end up with. Jay is only getting one or two bites an night now, instead of dozens, so we are headed in the right direction.

Next, I can't find the cable the connects the camera to the computer, so I can't post any new pictures, but as soon as I can put everything away (as soon as the bed bugs are gone) I am sure I will find it.

We took a short trip to Washington DC with Debbie, my mother in law, during the cherry blossom festival to pick up Nate, my brother in law, who was there on choir tour. We did a quick run through of some of the Smithsonian Museums. We saw the Aerospace Museum, the Museum of Natural History, and the Zoo. Leslie wasn't happy during most of the trip because she wasn't getting a good nap, and not sleeping well at night; but she liked the birds at the zoo. We spent close to 30 minutes in their walk in exhibit so she could watch all of the birds. Jay liked the Aerospace museum and the Zoo, but wasn't excited about the Natural History Museum after the dinosaur exhibit. He was glad when we stopped 'wasting time' and took him back to the hotel to swim. I will post pictures as soon as I can.

Spring is in full swing, and it is beautiful. Two of the trees right outside our front door are full of pink blossoms that smell wonderful. Jay was very disappointed that the blossoms weren't white. He told me that they didn't look like popcorn at all. The grass has finally dried out, so we can play baseball, frisbee, soccer, etc. Jay also likes to ride his scooter and bike around the front yard. Speaking of bikes, it is also the season for yard sales, and I was able to pick up a good bike on Saturday for $5. I am excited to have a bike again, but now I have to find a trailer so I can ride my bike. The big yard sale of the season is coming up this weekend, and I am hoping to find some good stuff..

Leslie is all over the place. She is under the impression that Mom's new full time job is to walk her around, and gets upset when I have other things to do. She loves walking around outside while Jay is playing. We will chase birds, squirrels, Jay, and anything else that moves. I am trying to get her to walk with just one of my hands, but she isn't excited with the prospect.

JT likes to tease Leslie with her blanket. Leslie loves her pink blanket, and will not go to sleep without it. I have even started taking it when I am working out, or someone else is watching her, because it helps calm her down. Yesterday, JT grabbed the blanket, put it up to his face, and said, "My blanket". Leslie knows this trick, and just laughed. Jay grabbed the blanket from his dad, and Leslie immediately yelled and started pointing at the blanket. She wasn't counting on Jay to tease her too.

Is this post long enough yet? I have been so busy with life, I had forgotten how long it has been since I have written anything. I think I am almost done. A few of the ladies in my ward have decided to do Joy School next year, and I am going to include Jay. He is so excited to go to school, but the preschools want up to $5,000 for the year. YIKES!!!!!! Hence the Joy School. We haven't worked out the details yet, but we have all summer. I had one more thing I wanted to say, but I can't remember what it is, so you will probably see another post soon.

Hooray for Joy School! We love it! Even though it's just down to us now, Esther still gets excited on Joy School days.
