Don't let the bed bugs bite

Jay has been waking up for the last few weeks with red spots all over his arms and legs. I took him to the doctor, and was told that they were flea bites. Upon further examination we determined that it was bed bugs instead of fleas. I also found evidence of them in my room, though JT and I haven't had any bites yet. I called the apartment manager, and the exterminator is hopefully coming tomorrow. In the mean time I have been cleaning up my room (Leslie is sleeping), and soon I will be cleaning Jay's room. I will be washing all of the clothes not hanging in the closet, and moving most of the toys and furniture around to make sure all of the bugs and eggs are poisoned. Any advise in this area would be appreciated, since I have never had to deal with bed bugs before.
